In power electronics-dominant systems (PEDSs), the declining-inertia issue is one of most significant challenges to tackle. The inertia emulation from DC-link capacitors cost-effective and application-friendly solution enhance system inertia. Although virtual control capacitor supports grid frequency with a relatively long-term effect, it affects dynamic converter at multiple timescales. turn, maximum effective limited by operation condition converter. Thus, properly design control, dynamics faster timescale than should be addressed. With above, this article analyzes based on multi-timescale model converters. First, stability considering analyzed in submodel voltage (VCT), where parameters are accordingly tuned pre-designed Then, identified rotor motion (RMT). exploration findings beneficial future placement optimization PEDSs. Case studies hardware-in-the-loop platform conducted validate proposed analysis method.
